“We tried, but we can’t. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”

One note. One note is all it took for Theo Walsh’s world to be turned upside down. Theo and his wife Imogene are from two completely different worlds. Imogene comes from a life of wealth, while Theo doesn’t. That didn’t matter to them, they were married and they were happy. But over the course of 6 years things changed. Tragedies struck that were hard to bounce back from. Can Imogene realize that the life she once lived, isn’t the life she wants to live now? And can Theo realize he is worthy of someone of Imogene’s “standing”?

This book took me a second to get into but once I did, I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. I appreciate the delicate way that Carrie talks about something so difficult and the emotion that people feel when something like that happens to them. This book takes you on a serious journey and you go through all different types of emotions as you read. Thank you Carrie for writing a book.
