Hate You Less by Aubrey Wright – Review

Rick and Annie dated while they were in high school, but a dumb move by Rick and Annie was left heartbroken. Now many years later, they both live in New York City. Rick is a real estate mogul and Annie is a journalist. The two meet up again when they are returning to the town where they grew up to attend Rick’s kid sister Jess’s wedding. Jess also happens to be Annie’s best friend. When they get stranded in a blizzard, all bets are off. Rick has just gotten better looking with age, and it’s going to take all of Annie’s willpower to resist him. As the two navigate wedding week and the drama that ensues, they have to ask themselves, can they move on from the past and start fresh?

Aubrey Wright is a new to me author. This book was suggested to me by Amazon under ‘books you might like’ and I have to say, Amazon was not wrong! This book drew me in right from the start, I couldn’t stop myself. I told myself one more chapter but then I had to keep going because I had to know what would happen next. I felt like the characters were perfect, and that the banter between them was perfect! The chemistry right from the start was sizzling on the pages, and as the characters progress through the book that sizzle turns white hot!

I do have to say that there was one thing that bothered me while reading this book and it was the use of the word prick when referring to Ricks dick! I don’t know why but that just threw me for a loop, and I couldn’t handle some of the love scenes even though they were super steamy! That word would pop up and throw me off! Regardless though, I got over the use of it and enjoyed every bit of this book!
