Addicted & Calloway Sisters Series by Krista & Becca Ritchie ~Recommendation~

Let me start out by saying that this isn’t going to be a run of the mill review, because both of these series aren’t your normal run of the mill books. I read these books after I discovered the Like Us Series by Krista & Becca Ritchie. So these books came before the Like Us Series and explained so much. The Addicted Series about Lily and Lo, and then the Calloway Series about Connor and Rose, and Ryke and Daisy far surpassed my wildest dreams. I don’t know that I have ever read a series of books that pulled every single different emotion from me. There were parts where I was literally laughing out loud and crying because of it, but there were also parts that had me sobbing in tears and it felt like my heart was breaking. Every single story in these two series were so beautifully written. The chemistry between all 6 of the main characters was something so amazing to read and experience. It truly felt like I was as much a part of these characters lives and they were a part of each other’s. The way that each story was intertwined made these books so hard to put down. The love that these characters have for each other almost felt palpable, like I could feel it myself.

The Addicted Series follows Lily and Loren. Lily is a sex addict and Loren is an alcoholic. The 5 books in this series take you on their journey from being controlled by their addictions to controlling their addictions. The two have been best friends since childhood and as the realization of their true feelings is revealed, they have to figure out how to stop enabling their addictions and start fighting them.

The Calloway Sisters Sisters follows Rose and Daisy, who are Lily’s sisters, and the men in their lives, Connor and Ryke. Rose and Connor are two sides of the same coin. Two of the smartest people, and two of the biggest supporters when it comes to helping Lily and Lo battle their addictions. Daisy and Ryke start out a little different but are just as important when it comes to helping Lily and Lo. Connor and Rose are together from the beginning, but the journey for Ryke and Daisy isn’t so easy due to their age difference and the fact that when they first meet, Daisy is 16. I loved getting to read about their stories as well as Lily and Lo’s because they are one big family. To see how these families intertwine and the banter between these characters was thrilling to read.

If you are looking for a book that will take you on a journey, as well as make you feel every emotion you can think of, then you need not look any further. These books are for you. These books are more than just books in my opinion. They are an in-depth look at fame and how even the people that look the happiest, and look perfect, are battling demons that not everybody can see or understand. I urge everyone to read these books, and when you’re done, hop into the Like Us Series to read the stories about their kids and to catch up with Lily, Lo, Rose, Connor, Ryke, & Daisy.
