Alec and Oakley have known each other since they were little kids. Oakley was the girl next door, and as the two grew up it seemed as though Alec was put on this earth to torment Oakley. As the two got older he knew she was what he wanted. Fast forward a few years and both are back at Blaze as teachers. Now that Alec is back, he’ll stop at nothing to make Oakley his. When things start coming to light, and Oakley learns more about Alec’s past the few years he’s been away she can’t think straight. When his decisions he made in the past to help out Oakley’s dad start rearing their ugly heads, he knows he needs to make Oakley realize that what he is saying is true and to trust him. When push comes to shove, can he keep Oakley safe?
I read this book, because Meagan teased that there was going to be a bit of a crossover between this book and her second book in the Brayshaw High series. I am so glad I did. This book was fire from start to finish. Alec is an alpha mail and does what he wants. That is my type of leading man! This book had so much suspense, and had my emotions all over the place! I feel like that is what Meagan does, she just rips your heart into pieces, but then knows exactly what she needs to do to put it back together! I will definitely continue to read anything that Meagan writes!!
