Nadia has been broken by her past. She’s back home in the hopes of pulling her life back together. She is terrified to share her secrets, but by keeping them hidden she is struggling to move forward. Thomas also has a past, which causes him to carry around guilt daily. His playboy façade only does so much for him. The first time he meets Nadia he’s hooked. There is something about her that he can’t seem to get enough of. Thomas soon becomes the one thing that makes Nadia feel human again. She refuses to use him though and continually tries to fight her feelings. The more time they spend together the harder it is to deny those feelings. When Nadia’s past comes knocking she is forced to make a choice? Go back to the life that knocked her down or stay with the man who is lifting her up?
This book is an emotional roller coaster let me put that out there first, but in the best way. I was hooked from the first few pages and couldn’t put this book down. I needed to know what was going to happen next, I needed to know what had happened in the past to make Nadia and Thomas who they are now. There were parts of this book that had my heart absolutely shattering, and I could picture the scenes playing out in my head. That ending though, I need book two as soon as humanly possibly is all I will say!
