The Trade by Meghan Quinn – REVIEW –

Cory Potter is back in Chicago, traded from the team he thought he was going to play his entire career with to the team he never wanted to play for, the Rebels. He’s trying to make the most of it, and when he meets a woman he can’t stop thinking about, he realizes maybe coming back home to Chicago won’t be all-bad. The problem, he soon realizes, is the girl he is pining for, is actually married…or so he was told.

Natalie helps run her brothers non-profit foundation. At a fundraiser, she meets the one and only Cory Potter. He’s very, VERY, easy on the eyes and has a great personality, oh and he’s also her brother’s new teammate. The two continually cross paths, and when the truth of Natalie’s situation comes to light, who knows what will happen next.

Hilarious. Swoon-worthy. Amazing. I said it before and I’ll say it again, Meghan Quinn is the queen of the rom-com. Seriously there were parts in this book that had me laughing so hard I was crying, but there were also gut-wrenching parts that had me close to tears too. ‘The Trade’ evoked all of the emotions from me. All. Of. Them. And catching up with Knox, Carson, and Jason was a freaking hoot. Jason Orson is hands down one of my all-time favorite Meghan Quinn characters. I love the back and forth between the guys and how they were so quick to include Cory in the fold. Cory is the type of guy you can’t help but love. He’s a hard worker, but he’s also so sweet and thoughtful. I also really loved Natalie, she was hilarious, and I loved watching her come out of her shell too. Just when I think she can’t top her last book, she writes a book like this that just blows everything out of the water. Keep these baseball boys coming!!
