I absolutely love this new series by Sarina Bowen, and I can’t wait to see what book we get next (Max pleaseeee).

New York City is one of Gunner’s least favorite places to be, for a few different reasons, and that’s why he runs the west coast branch of the super secretive billion-dollar security company he works for. However, he’s summoned back to New York because there is a killer on the loose. He’s used to being undercover, but he never thought he’d have to play barista at a shop owned by a girl he used to like, Posy.

Posy owns her own pie shop, and she does a darn good job. Gunner wasn’t someone she thought she’d see again, and when he comes into her shop to apply for the open barista job, she’s skeptical, but she takes a chance. It’s like they’re transported back in time, the flirting, the snarky comments, comes back easily. And there is no denying Gunner’s grown up. But when Posy finds out the real reason why Gunner’s back in town can she forgive the lies?

Absolutely stellar addition to ‘The Company’ series. Gunner is such a flirt, but also has that alpha male, must protect what’s mine, thing going on and I am here for it!! I also adore Posy. She gives as good as she gets, she’s such a strong and selfless person, who carries the weight of the world on her shoulders making sure everyone she loves is taken care of! I have to also say, I laughed extremely hard when Gunner was first watching Posy show him how to work the espresso machine!! The chemistry between Gunner and Posy was palpable, and their back and forth banter is pure gold! This book was everything I hoped for and more!

I will say this book has me even more intrigued with Max, and I’m crossing my fingers Sarina puts me out of my misery and gives us a book about him soon!!
