I’m not super eloquent with my words, and it’s taken me 2 days since finishing this story to be able to even think about writing a review that will do this book justice. I’ve loved every single story that has to do with the Ward family, starting with Logan’s story and moving through each of the sisters. I have been dying for Isabel’s book since we first met her, and let me just say….Karla freaking nailed it for our girl!
Isabel has always been the most closed off of the Ward sisters. She’s the rock they need, but she’s also the hard truths they don’t always want to hear. And when it comes to talking about herself and her feelings…forget about it. She’s not interested. But seeing her with Aiden as well as with his daughter, we got to see a softer side of Isabel that I’m not sure she even knew she had. Watching her be a little discombobulated around Aiden just endeared her even more to me!
And Aiden….there aren’t proper words to describe how utterly and completely freaking SMOKING he is!! Not only was he a professional fighter, he’s also a single dad…que the swoon! I loved how hard he tried to keep Isabel out but to also figure out what makes her tick. This is a slow-burn romance at its freaking finest! Utter perfection my friends!!
