‘The Fall of a God’ picks up right where book 1 left off and it was a freaking roller coaster of emotions from there. I wanted to cry with Josie, I wanted to punch Beck, I wanted to kick Lucas and then I wanted to wrap Josie and Beck in a hug! I wasn’t prepared in the slightest for some of the things that we found out in this story, but they only added to the intrigue. The vulnerabilities that both Beck and Josie showed throughout this book made it impossible not to root for them together and separately.
Holly Renee absolutely nailed this story, the push and pull between Beck and Josie was utterly perfect, and I love that we got to dig a little deeper into the lies and secrets in Clermont Bay! This book also makes me want to send Holly messages begging for Olly, Carson, Frankie and Allie to get their own books!! I’m super pumped to see what’s next for the people of Clermont Bay!
