I think Max and Cozy are my favorite characters in the Wait with Me series! They are seriously everything I wanted and needed in my life!
Cozy is my spirit animal. She’s fierce and she doesn’t take any of Max’s attitude. Her confidence is seriously inspiring, and I love her ‘why do more when you can do less’ motto for her summer with Max’s daughter Everly. She’s been through some crap, but she’s come out on the other side and she’s just an all-around amazing human.
As for Max, talk about swoon. A hot, single dad, the man is everything a girl could ask for. While his business is important to him, his relationship with his daughter is even more important. He’s sweet and attentive with Everly, and completely proves Cozy wrong with her expectations of him. The two of them are way more alike than they think, and when they finally come together… FIREWORKS!
Devoured this book in one sitting, I couldn’t put it down. Amy Daws absolutely nailed this story, everything about it was fantastic. I have to say, I do hope we get books for Max’s brothers… no pressure Amy!!
