There is just something about a book written by Tijan that I can’t ever get enough of. I completely devoured this story in one sitting. There was just no way that I could put it down. I had to know how this was going to play out!
I loved every bit of this story. Scout and Ramsay were perfection. Their attraction (though they hated it) was instant, and no matter how hard they fought it, there was absolutely no denying it. Neither has had a simple or normal life, but both are in Pine River to try and change that. However the past never can stay buried for long, and watching Scout and Ramsay try and navigate their issues both separately and together was exactly what I needed to get out of my book slump!
Tijan has such a way with words. Truly, I don’t think there is any other way to describe it, her world and character building are always phenomenal and this one is one of my favorites from her. I would LOVE if we got books for some of the secondary characters in this book!
