The Romantic Pact by Meghan Quinn – REVIEW –

Crew and his two best friends, River and Hollis, have always been Braxton University’s most promising NFL prospects. However, after their last season, that dream may be slipping through the cracks. Crew’s goal has been the NFL since before he can really remember, but with the passing of Pop’s life threw him for a loop.

With his season over, and the NFL combine looming in the distance, Crew and his childhood best friend Hazel set off on an adventure through Germany. What they thought was a journey honoring Pops, quickly becomes a journey about discovering themselves. Hazel and Crew are friends, and made a pact to never get involved, but in Germany all bets are off. The question is, what happens when their road trip is over?

First and foremost, I’ve now added Christmas in Germany to my bucket list, thank you Meghan Quinn! This book was absolutely mesmerizing. Every part of it was beautiful and so well thought out. From page one, I devoured this story, I didn’t want it to end, but I read it so quickly because I had to know what was going to happen. I felt every single emotion with this story, I was laughing out loud, crying, and honestly felt my own heart breaking at times. This is why Meghan Quinn will always be one of my favorite authors. Her stories evoke such emotion and they’re so well thought out and so detailed that I devour them.

Also let us not forget that little Crew has connections to some characters from previous Meghan Quinn books! This is a story that I will reread many times, and one that will stick with me for a long time. Books 1 and 2 in the Kings of Football Series have been absolutely fantastic, I love that these 3 authors came together to write this series, and I’m so excited for book 3!

I haven’t seen her in three years.

I haven’t talked to her since the kiss.

So why am I on a plane, flying across the world to spend a week with her in Germany?

One word: Pops.

My life’s a mess.

My possible football career is hanging on by a thread.

I’m driving the roads of Germany in honor of Pops with the one girl I can never have.

And I’m sharing a bed with her, the girl I’ve measured everyone else up to, while desperately trying to not to touch her.

We made a pact growing up, never to get romantic with each other – never fall in love.

And I’m about to break that pact. For good.
