Let me start out by saying, I have been waiting for more of the second generation from the original Assassins books for a hot second, and Toni did not disappoint when it came to Amelia and Chandler! I also have to say that I appreciate that when Toni writes, she isn’t afraid to talk about the dark stuff. I won’t go into more detail as I don’t want to spoil anything, but the way she can write about some of the dark sides to relationships in such a way is beautiful and eloquent to say the least. Also, I say it time and time again, I absolutely love that she entwines every character in the books, and brings in old and new characters that you love!
Amelia Justice is hiding out from her family, after a failed marriage that was tough to get out of she’s taking things one day at a time. Chandler Moon, also moving forward from a failed marriage, is stunned to see Amelia in South Carolina where he plays hockey for the Ice Cats.
